Pay tracking is the main feature of LineVault.

Log each work day including your hours, meal tickets, per diem, travel miles, etc. When your paycheck from your company comes, hold it up against what you logged with LineVault to see if you were paid correctly.

THE SET UP

  1. Tap the gear icon on the top right of the screen and go down to OVERTIME SETUP.

  2. Click on "Take-Home estimate" and enter what percentage of your paycheck you take home ON AVERAGE and hit Save Changes

  3. Click on "Pay Period" and enter the start date for your most recent pay period and the frequency at which you get paid(Weekly or Bi-Weekly). You can find this information on your paystubs.

  4. Click on "Pay Rates". Here you'll find 2 boxes, one with a name and one with $/HR. Enter your straight time rate only, your overtime rates get calculated based off of your base pay in the log day section. Add separate rates for every classification you earn in. If you run as a Foreman of Crew Lead some days and a Journeyman on others, enter the both of those pay rates. You will be able to select which rate every time you log a day and can even log multiple classifications on the same day.

  5. Now clock on Meal Tickets & Differentials. If your company provides meal tickets or stipends, enter their value here. In this section you can also enter your Night Shift Bonuses & Weekend Bonuses(dollar per hour).

  6. Next, OT Goal. This tab allows you to set an overtime target goal to help you reach a certain hour or dollar amount you want. Select your target per pay period and wether you want to see your goal as a dollar amount or as an hour amount.

  7. Lastly, Notifications. Choose at what time you want LineVault to send you a notification reminding you to log your work day.

Logging a Day

  1. Enter the date and the time you started the shift and ended the shift.

  2. LineVault has 3 rate blocks: REGULAR, OT RATE 1, & OT RATE 2.
-Firstly, choose the classification you worked that day, the amount of hours, and the multiplier at which its paid. If its your base, straight time pay, leave it at 1X.
    - On OT RATE 1, once again select a rate and the amount of hours worked on that rate. At this point you can select a different classification if for some reason it changed throughout the day. You can then choose at what multiplier that rate was paid, such as 1.5X, 2X, 2.5X, etc. LineVault will automatically do the math no matter what rate and multiplier you use.

- On OT RATE 3, repeat the same steps as for OT RATE 1. Use a different classification or multiplier if you need to, LineVault can handle it.

  1. Details: Enter here in Hours Offered the amount of overtime hours you were asked to work and wether you accepted or declined. This is mostly for companies that use a list system to offer overtime and being charged incorrectly can cost you money or bump you down on the list. When you log your offers in, LineVault will give you a fill rate in the history tab.

  2. Enter your job/project name(pole changeout, transformer bank replacement, trouble call-wire down, etc). Add notes as reminders of who you worked with or what happened that way you can remember days later.

  3. In the Extras section, put in your shift type, per diem if you received it, number of meal tickets earned for the day, travel reimbursement by dollar per mile, & miscellaneous such as random tips from people. Toggle on or off wether each of those items are taxable and linevault will either put them in your gross pay or your take home pay.

  4. Save your day!

This is the bread and butter. Here you can see your estimated gross and take home pay.

Right below it you can see everything you logged for your pay period so far, such as all the hours you worked under each individual block and how much money youve made in per diem.

Scroll down a little more to see every single day that you've logged for this pay period. Get a snap shot of everything that went into it or click the tab to open it up and see a full breakdown of your notes and the math behind the calculations.
